Parade will proceed down Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Streets, N.W., in our Nation’s Capital. The 2013 theme is ‘Celebrating Service to the Stars and Stripes”. The parade route is easily accessible from the Federal Triangle, Archives-Navy Memorial and Smithsonian metro stations. The grandstands are located between 15th and 16th streets next to the judges reviewing stand.  They are a great way to watch the parade – each group is introduced as they approach and you get to see them at their best, performing for the judges.  The grandstands provide a comfortable, elevated, vantage point with nearby restroom facilities.

National Memorial Day Parade

The parade of Marching Bands and Veterans units from all 50 states steps off at the corner of Constitution Avenue and
7th Street, NW and proceeds along Constitution Avenue, past the White House, ending at 17th Street. The National
Memorial Day Parade is sponsored by the World War II Veterans Committee and includes patriotic floats and heliumfilled
balloons.

Arlington National Cemetery

“Flags In.” Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) will be joined by service members from the U.S.
Marine Corps Ceremonial and Guard Company, U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard, U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and the U.S.
Coast Guard Ceremonial Honor Guard in placing more than 250,000 grave decorating flags at Arlington National
Cemetery. A wreath-laying ceremony and concert will be held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of Memorial
Day.

Warriors.” Many surviving WWII veterans will be in attendance.
