National Building Museum 401 F St NW
Time: Now through September 2nd
Since when did the National Building Museum become as much fun as a boardwalk arcade? First, the museum partnered with Hill Country for regular barbecues on its front lawn; now, there’s mini-golf! The museum’s course layout for 2013 has 18 holes — up from 12 last year — imagined by D.C. design and architecture firms, who drew on a variety of building-themed influences. The courses are open during museum hours, with late-night golf nights June 6, June 27, July 11, July 24, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22, when the holes will stay open until 9 p.m.
National Dance Day
The John F Kennedy Center 2700 F St NW
Time: Saturday, 1pm to 11:30pm
The annual event moves to the Kennedy Center for dance lessons, performances and dancing under the stars to live music on the plaza.
Redskins Training Camp
West Leigh Street Richmond, Va
Time: Friday and Saturday 10am walkthrough, 3:20pm practice
During the first few weeks of practice, fans are invited to see the Washington Redskins in action on the practice field. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Practices last between 90 minutes and two hours. After each practice, fans may have the opportunity to get autographs and take photos of their favorite players.

Outdoor family-friendly movies will be screened this summer in downtown Bethesda.
Friday, July 26th – The Hunger Games (2012) Rated PG-13. In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine and war to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, with all citizens required to watch.
Saturday, July 27th – Life of Pi (2012) Rated PG. Based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, is a magical adventure story centering on Pi Patel who after a shipwreck is found adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival.
Montgomery County Farm Tour
Time: Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm
Montgomery County, Maryland celebrates its agricultural heritage, promotes local farms, and provides residents the opportunity to indulge in seasonally fresh food during the Annual Montgomery County Farm Tour and Harvest Sale. The Farm Tour provides people with an opportunity to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants and other local products. Several farms have hayrides, pony rides, music, demonstrations and other fun and educational activities for all ages. It’s an educational experience and a great family day outing. After Hours with the Animals
Time: Friday, 4pm to 7pm
At this event, the Maryland Zoo stays open after hours and visitors can snag half off regular admission. Happy hour drink specials are available at concession stands, and camel rides will also be available.
Bethany Beach Summer Bandstand
Time: Saturday at 7:30pm
Listen to great live performances while relaxing right on the beach! Saturday’s performance features Sarah Williams. Her music is a blend of Americana and Country with a little bit of Jazz, surely a performance you wont want to miss!
Sundaes in the Park
Northside Park, between 127th Street and the Bay
Time: Sunday from 7pm to 9pm
Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park for ice cream sundaes and live entertainment. For a small fee, enjoy your own ice cream sundae creation as you listen to your musical favorites and watch the sunset over the beautiful Assawoman Bay. The grand finale to each Sundaes in the Park event will be Fireworks at 9 p.m.! This Sunday features: The Reagan Years (80’s Music) and Cascading Carlos (A Juggling Workshop).
