NFL Kick-Off – The Party Continues in Charm City

NFL Kickoff_2013Although some Baltimore Ravens’ fans are still fuming about the fact that their Super Bowl Champs won’t get to open up the 2013 season at home, we still have a lot to look forward to in Baltimore this week.

Wednesday, September 4th

The NFL Kick-Off Village will be open to fans from 10am to 10pm at McKeldin Square and the Harborplace Amphitheater.  Fan will enjoy activities and promotions from NFL sponsors.  This is free and open to the public.

The NFL Back to Football 5K Run begins and ends at M&T Bank Stadium in the heart of Downtown Baltimore.  Participants get the chance to run onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium as the race finishes on the 50-yard line.  This event unites runners and NFL fans of all fitness levels.  You can even bring the kids for an NFL Play 60 Fun Run for children 12 and under.  Participants can also look forward to fan festival areas, autograph opportunities and NFL skills challenges.

The Ravens’ logo was painted on UTZ Field at Patterson Park yesterday for the NFL’s Play 60 Youth Football Festival occurring on Wednesday, September 4th and Thursday, September 5th. Boys and girls ages 6-13 can register to participate. Events include drills and coaching on football skills led by USA Football and Under Armor coaches. Participants will also learn about proper hydration and concussion awareness.  Former NFL stars will be in attendance.

Thursday, September 5th

NFL’s Play 60 Youth Football Festival continues today at Patterson Park.

The NFL Kick-Off Village will be open today from 10am to 8:15pm at McKeldin Square and the Harborplace Amphitheater.

As part of NFL Kickoff 2013 Presented By Pepsi, Keith Urban will be performing on a floating stage in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor!  Gates open at 6:00pm for a screening of “America’s Game: 2012 Baltimore Ravens” and then the concert begins at 7:15pm. Stick around for fireworks and a light show. General public viewing areas are located near the Maryland Science Center and are on a first-come, first-served basis.  This festivities are free and open to the public!  You can follow @NFL345 on Twitter for more details.

The Baltimore Orioles play the White Sox in their quest for the playoffs at Camden Yards.  The first 10,000 fans receive an O’s plaid cap!

ACM-nominated country duo, Love and Theft, are playing at Rams Head Live at 8pm.

And don’t forget to watch your Baltimore Ravens take on the Denver Broncos on NBC at 8:30pm.

The party continues days after the season opener…

2nd Annual Ravens Bash at Gianni’s Italian Bistro on Saturday, September 7th featuring live music by The Klassix.

When it’s time to get ready for the Ravens’ home opener join 98 Rock and Power Plant Live! for a Purple & Black Pep Rally on Thursday, September 12th with music by Cage the Elephant, drink specials, prizes and more!

The party continues with 98 Rock! Join them for Bacon and Beer Purple Friday Kick-Off at Two Rivers Steak & Fish House in Pasadena on Friday, September 13th from 6-10am! There will be appearances by the Ravens’ Purple Caravan, Marching Band, Po and the Ravens’ Cheerleaders! There will also be drink specials and a breakfast food buffet.
