Weekend Happenings in the DMV: April 4th-6th

It is supposed to be an absolutely gorgeous weekend so get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful weather with a ton of great outdoor events going on in the DMV! If you have ever wanted to have one of the largest pillow fights ever this weekend is for you. If something casual and relaxing is more your style, Cherry Blossom festivities are also going. With so much happening, there really is something to make everyone happy!

Washington, DC welcomes the arrival of spring with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, a tradition that showcases the beautiful gift of 3,000 cherry trees that the city of Tokyo gave to our nation’s capital. Join us at the William and Irene Weinberg Family’s 26th annual Baltimore Jewish Film Festival! The 2014 season includes films ofjewish film festival Jewish interest from around the world. All of these internationally acclaimed films will be followed by prominent guest speakers. Sundays Film is Aftermath: Franek and Jozek Kalina, sons of a poor farmer, are brothers from a small village in central Poland. Franek immigrated to the United States in the 1980’s, and cut all ties with his family. Only when Jozek’s wife arrives in the US, without explanation, does Franek finally return to his homeland. Franek discovers that Jozek has been ostracized from the community, and constantly receives various threats. As Franek and Jozek struggle to rebuild their relationship, they are drawn into a gothic tale of intrigue. The two brothers eventually uncover a dark secret that forces them to confront the history of their family and their hometown.
