Have you ever been sitting on the beach or at the pool and noticed you have no convenient place to put your cell phone or sunscreen?
This easy DIY project will now solve this problem and you probably have all the materials you need in your home already.
- Beach towel
- Sewing machine (This can also be done by hand)
Once you have picked out the towel you want to use, simply lay it on the floor. Grab a couple items that you plan on storing in your towel. We used a cell phone and some sun tan lotion as an example. Fold the long side of the towel over on its self and place your items on top of the fold.
Put sewing pins in the towel to hold the fold over and also mark where you will be sewing. We suggest using 2 pins to make an X.
Remove the items from the towel and take your towel to the sewing machine. You will be sewing from the pins down towards the fold. You don’t need to sew all the way to the fold. You can just sew ¾ of the way down.
Keep in mind this does not need to be perfect. You can also sew this part by hand with a need a thread.
After you finish sewing, simply cut the excess thread and voila! You are all finished! You can sew as many or as few pockets as you wish.
