Video Gamers United

Video Gamers United is a gaming festival for gamers of all genres and ages to come together and celebrate the culture of gaming. VGU is bringing together the top gamers, developers and minds in the video gaming industry. There will be panel discussions, keynote speakers, video game demos, gaming tournaments, cosplay contests, and free to play arcade. Also, celebrities and athletes will be playing gamers like you, in our celebrity gaming challenge!
DC Beer Week – Kickoff Cruise

Time: Sunday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Brewery Ommegang, Boulevard Brewery and Odyssey Cruises have brought back one of DCBeer Weeks’s best events! The Odyssey will once again be the kick-off for DCBW and will feature some incredible brews from these American craft breweries. Tickets will include unlimited beer samples, new food station menu, and DJ entertainment.
The Smile Project Street Carnival

The Smile Project is a FREE back to school carnival for all ages to enjoy! The Smile Project encourages a positive mental attitude towards education in an effort to excite young students about the 2014-2015 school year. The afternoon is fun-filled with giveaways, rides, games, moon bounce obstacle courses, giant slides, water activities, rock climbing, live music, healthy eating demonstrations, food trucks, vendors, and much more! Students will receive backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, books, water bottles, lunch boxes, calculators, and other useful tools and information for learning while supplies last.

The fun begins before the credits even roll with music, food, and children’s activities including inflatables and carnival games! Blankets and lawn chairs are permitted so you can sit under the stars and up front or you can view from the comfort of your vehicle just like the old days! Friday’s Movie is the Lego Movie, Saturday’s Movie is Gravity, and Sunday’s Movie is Catching Fire!
Cinema Al Fresco Open Air Film Festival

Time: Fridays Thru September 5th
Movies are projected on the outside of the Ciao Bella Restaurant, and movie-goers can enjoy free popcorn. Live music and dancing begins at 7 p.m., while screenings start at 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m., depending on the length of the film. This Friday’s movie is Rocky.
The Lucketts Fair

Every August, for 42 years, the village of Lucketts in Loudoun County VA has been home to the Annual Lucketts Fair. The historic Old Lucketts School is the backdrop for this genuine country fair that features handmade crafts, antiques, historic, and demonstrations. Bluegrass bands will be playing in an outdoor gazebo while patrons can enjoy a wide variety of food vendors. Children’s entertainment includes live shows, fire truck rides, a petting zoo, and pony rides.
Chesapeake Crab & Wine Festival

DC Fest 2014

The annual event in Manassas, Virginia is the largest fair in VA and great for all ages, families and friends!
