Washington, DC Events:

Nation’s Football Classic 
RFK Stadium

The AT&T Nation’s Football Classic is an annual football game held in RFK Stadium that celebrates the tradition of historically African American colleges and universities. The event was created to commemorate the college football experience, recognize the history of service by the students, faculty and alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, highlight the unity of African American culture, and honor the heritage and excellence of these proud institutions. This year, the game features Morehouse College versus Howard University.

Adams Morgan Day 2014

The 2nd Sunday in September is Adams Morgan Day, an annual neighborhood festival with live music and international food from around the world. Patrons can enjoy diverse retailers, food and craft vendors, nonprofits, specialty products, and artists. The Kid’s Fair has games, interactive science exhibits, clowns and the Chinese Lion Dancers. The Dance Plaza is a favorite with dance performances, live music, & workshops on rumba, Mexican folk, Bolivian & salsa!

17th Street Festival

Price: FREE
The 17th Street Festival is a community event that celebrates the 17th Street Corridor from Riggs Place to P St NW. The festival will include musical performances throughout the afternoon, artist vendors, a pet zone, a kid’s zone, exposure for non-profit groups and appearances by city officials to celebrate the community and businesses.

Taste of Georgetown

Taste of Georgetown is DC’s most anticipated epicurean festival with creative tastes from more than 35 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, as well as an expansive Craft Beer and Wine Pavilion and live entertainment. Patrons are encouraged to relax, picnic-style, with their Tastes in the scenic Georgetown Waterfront Park.

Virginia Wine Festival 2014

The Virginia Wine Festival is the largest annual wine festival in Virginia, featuring wine tastings from 50 Virginia wineries, gourmet food samples, seminars, concerts, arts and crafts and more. Attendees can learn everything from wine and food pairing to wine history to planning a tour of Virginia’s wineries. Entertainment includes the music of Inner Rhythm Quartet, Johnny and the Headhunters, Glory on the Floor and Jr. Cline and the Recliners.

Alexandria King Street Art Festival
