It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the neighborhood of Tenleytown, DC has tons of events planned to help put you in the holiday spirit! Events include a Yeti Hunt, Winterfeast, sing-a-longs & more! The scavenger hunt will have you searching for yetis hidden in local businesses for a prize! The feast will include special deals at over a dozen Tenleytown restaurants!
Downtown Holiday Market
Penn Quarter, Washington DC

The annual Downtown DC Holiday Market offers seasonal outdoor shopping with a festive atmosphere in the heart of Washington DC’s Penn Quarter neighborhood. The event features more than 150 exhibitors and artisans offering distinctive gifts for all along with food and live musical entertainment.
Hoppy Holidays Beer Festival
Union Market, Washington DC

Drink the District: Hoppy Holidays is designed for young professionals, novice beer drinkers, and connoisseurs alike! Logan Circle Holiday House Tour

The Logan Circle Holiday House Tour is an annual event that provides a walking tour of ten historic and contemporary homes in the neighborhood. The self-guided tour gives participants an up close view of the architecture, interior design, and art in some of Washington DC’s most interesting properties.
Smithsonian Holiday Festival 2014
Museums on the National Mall, Washington DC
Time: Friday and Saturday from 10am-5:30pm
The Smithsonian is hosting the annual two-day holiday festival with special events at the museums on the National Mall. The event features family-friendly entertainment including concerts, seasonal films, Mars Chocolate demonstrations, holiday photo opportunities, trunk shows, book signings, and more! Bonus: a Holiday Shuttle will loop around the National Mall every 10 minutes, providing transportation to the participating locations.

28th Annual Holiday Open House –Linthicum, MD
Benson –Hammond House, Linthicum

This year the theme is “Memories of Christmas Morning”. The Benson-Hammond House will be beautifully decorated for the season with vintage toys in every room and the Polar Express Train under the Christmas tree. Enjoy punch and cookies, tour the house and browse through the Museum Shop.

The region’s must-see holiday attraction ICE! is back with an exciting new theme featuring Frosty the Snowman! The story of Frosty is brought to life in more than two million pounds of colorful ice. Patrons can walk through the classic Christmas story, slide down 2-story tall ice slides and watch artists as they create these frozen marvels in the live carving zone at The Frostbite Factory.

Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights
Alexandria Marina, Alexandria
Time: Saturday at 5:30pm
At sundown, following the full day of events of the Scottish Christmas Walk parade, Alexandria’s harbor lights up as more than 50 illuminated boats cruise the Potomac River at the historic Potomac waterfront. This year, DC media personality Tommy McFly of 94.7 Fresh FM will be the parade announcer!
Wolf Trap Holiday Sing-A-Long
Wolf Trap, Vienna
Time: Saturday at 4pm
Kick off the holiday season with family and friends at Wolf Trap’s Holiday Sing-A-Long. This annual musical celebration hosts a performance by the United States Marine Band and a Sing-A-Long of Christmas carols and Hanukkah songs with choir and vocal groups from the metropolitan Washington area.
Manassas Christmas Parade
Old Town, Manassas
Time: Saturday at 10am
See amazing floats, local celebrities, live performances, marching bands, equestrians, animated characters, giant balloons, and Santa at the Manassas Christmas Parade. The parade route begins at Mathis Avenue and concludes at the intersection of Center Street and Grant Avenue. Enjoy enchanted Christmas stories at the Train Depot from 2-5 p.m.
Christmas in Middleburg

Join friends, family and neighbors for all the Christmas in Middleburg events! The spectacular Middleburg Hunt will kick off the day with 100 horses, riders in red coats and dozens of hounds marching through the town. The Christmas Parade will follow with a unique assortment of floats, marching bands, local community groups, antique fire trucks, and a variety of animals. Throughout the day there are also hayrides, choir performances, the Garden Club’s Christmas Flower & Greens Show and their Craft Show and a Wine Crawl at the end of the day.
