Washington, DC Events:

CHAW & Brau: Arts & Craft Beer Fundraiser chaw and brau

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop has partnered DC Brau for a special arts and crafts fundraiser event, complete with tons of your favorite local brews! In addition to the brewery’s normal tours and tastings, CHAW will provide a fresh artistic twist on Growler Hours with a CHAW Valentine’s Photo Booth, musical performances, prizes, and class registration sign-ups to keep the creative energy going.

Smithsonian Black History Month Family Day Celebration

The Smithsonian kicks off its celebration of Black History Month with a day of music and drama performances, arts and crafts and other themed activities. The full day of activities is inspired by the exhibition Rising Up: Hale Woodruff’s Murals at Talladega College which features murals by prominent African American artist Hale Woodruff that portray significant events in the journey of African Americans from slavery to freedom.

Free Party kicks off Black History Month with a celebration of music, art, and unity through hip hop. Rising artists from the DMV will be performing in support of the integrated community that hip hop culture has cultivated. After the performances, the house DJ will be spinning classic hip hop records for people to dance to.

Calling all Ramen lovers! The makers of Mess Hall DC are bringing together the masterminds from Daikaya and Toki Underground to bring you a full day of heartwarming broths, succulent meats, and perfect noodles. DC ramen heavyweights such as Katsuya Fukushima, Eric Bruner-Yang, and more will work together on this collaborative culinary event to create the best ramen, drinks, and inspired treats.

Winter has officially hit and that means it’s time to get all your classic winter activities in. So lace up those skates and hit the ice, all while viewing the gorgeous inner harbor!

Head over to the National Aquarium on Friday night after 5:00 PM for discounted admission but the same amazing experience. The last entry time is 8:00 PM and exhibits are open until 9:30 PM. Buy your tickets online or on-site.
