Concierge Close Up: Old Ox Brewery

One of the coolest parts about living in this area is that there are always new and unique breweries opening their doors right in our backyards!

One of these in particular that I am quite fond of is Old Ox Brewery. Their selection of craft beers is amazing and ever-changing, making it a brewery you will want to visit often.

Old Ox is family owned and operated which adds to the atmosphere. According to the brewery “Old Ox is one of the oldest roads in Loudoun County and was originally built to connect the agricultural producers of Loudoun County to the markets in Fairfax County and beyond. It is this same sense of connection that we want to provide for our customers…whether they are here in our tasting room or enjoying a pint in their favorite restaurant or tavern.”

On Wednesdays, Old Ox releases a special limited release beer! Some of their past limited releases include Nitro Red Ale, Nitro Scotch ale, Coconut Vanilla Porter, and Mexican Hot Chocolate. Pair any of the specials on tap with one of the many food trucks Old Ox brings in.

For some added entertainment, they offer local DC sports games on a large projector as well as team corn hole for patrons.

Be sure to check out the calendar HERE updated daily, for even more fun including live music!

My personal recommendation is the Black Ox. Im not usually a dark beer person, but the hints of coffee and chocolate make this beer easy to drink and quite enjoyable! With so many choices it might be hard to decide. If this is the case, just try them all! Old Ox offers a sampler, so you can try a little bit of everything.
