Just because the weekend forecast is looking a little dreary, doesn’t mean you can’t leave the house and check out one of the many festivals or shows happening all across the DMV. 


Washington, DC Events:

Smithsonian Craft Show

The Smithsonian Craft Show is an exhibit of more than 120 exceptional craft artists, representing works in basketry, ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, wood, and more. This is your opportunity to purchase items from the most prestigious exhibition of contemporary American crafts in the nation.

White House Garden Tours

Cost: FREE, but tickets are required – pick up is at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion starting at 9am
The White House Garden Tours have been a tradition since 1972, where visitors are invited to view the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, Children’s Garden and South Lawn of the White House. The tour includes a visual explanation to help educate visitors on the elements of the garden.

The 12th annual Georgetown French Market is one of the most anticipated shopping weekends to welcome spring! Baltimore Farmer’s Market & Bazaar

Baltimore’s farmer’s market and bazaar is open for the season! There will be a huge variety of items available for purchase including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and dozens of food vendors! Vegan food items will be available.

Maryland Bacon Festival

DC Design House is an annual project that brings together Washington, DC’s top interior designers to transform and showcase a house using the best in today’s home renovation and design ideas. This year’s host site is an 8,869-square-foot home in McLean VA that replicates an Old American Farmhouse as a nod to Virginia’s rich countryside, while also offering all the amenities of modern homes.
