The America Loves Bacon team is geared up and ready to present the first ever touring bacon festival. The tour stops focus on local flavors, sights, and sounds as well as the America Loves Bacon Tour menu, which will feature dozens of delectable bacon delights.

Awesome Con is a celebration of popular culture. At its heart, Awesome Con embraces all aspects of geekdom and pop culture, with special guests from TV, film, comic books, and the literary world, with a wide assortment of comic books, collectibles, toys, games, anime, original art, cosplay, and more.
Tour de Fat

This year marks the 16th season for Tour de Fat, a celebration of bike culture and advocacy! Tour de Fat features eclectic entertainment, bike contests and even vaudeville acts. This year will also include some brewing education and feature a “Bicycle Revival” to inspire festival-goers to believe in the power of two-wheeled transportation.

Baltimore’s farmers’ market and bazaar is open for the season! There will be a huge variety of items available for purchase including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and dozens of food vendors! Vegan food items will be available.
Downtown Herndon (Lynn St.)

The Herndon Festival features live entertainment, international foods, carnival rides and games, children’s entertainment, business and fitness expos, races, a model railway exhibit, an arts and crafts show and two fireworks displays. The event is the largest FREE festival in Northern Virginia!
Bull Run Park

Cost: $30 day pass, $35 at the gate; $35 weekend pass, $40 at the gate
The wine festival features tastings offered by more than 50 wineries including over 250 award-winning Virginia wines, educational seminars on food pairing, fine art exhibits, children’s activities, food and live entertainment.
South Run Park

PetFest will include tons of vendors, rescue groups, cool music, and an open fenced in run for playtime. There will also be a short dog-walk with prizes for the participants.

32nd Annual National Retired Military Golf Classic
Myrtle Beach National, Pine Lakes and Myrtlewood Courses

This is a great opportunity to engage in some friendly competition while meeting fellow retired military. Practice rounds are allowed on all three courses. Registration concludes on Wednesday, May 26th. Don’t miss this opportunity to golf on some of Myrtle Beaches’ best courses.
Sunset Barnstable Harbor Kayak and Climb Sandy Neck Lighthouse
345 Bone Hill Rd, Cummaquid, MA

Cost: MA Audubon Member $43; Non-member $48
This trip will give you the opportunity to explore Cape Cod’s largest barrier beach and salt march system where you will get to see shorebirds, osprey, horseshoe crabs, and other creatures of the marsh. After taking in the tidal creeks and islands of the harbor you will have the pleasure of climbing to the top of the Sandy Neck Lighthouse. This trip is meant for people who have had previous experience kayaking. Children ages 12 and up must participate with a parent.
