June is now in full swing and so are all of the summer events! From festivals to fairs we have you covered for this weekend, so be sure to check out one or more of these great events!

Washington, DC Events:

DC Bourbon Bash

The DC Bourbon Bash is an awesome day of fun, excitement, entertainment and excellent Bourbon. Attendees will enjoy a 1-ounce taste of select premium bourbons at 8 different venues. In addition, each venue is offering specials on food, beer and bourbon.

DC Jazzfest in the Yards

Cost: $45 for general admission, premium available
DC JazzFest at The Yards is a two-day “blowout” where fans will enjoy jazz, beverage and food tastings, and other activities.

Pride Parade

Gather with friends and neighbors to watch the Capital Pride Parade as it travels through Dupont Circle and ends in the Logan Circle neighborhood. More than 170 groups will be marching alongside floats, vehicles and other entertainment!

Time for Truckeroo DC! It’s rare that you get a chance to sample so many great food trucks in one place that is kid-friendly as well as adult friendly!  Live entertainment, friendly faces, sunny days and a wide variety of great cuisine.

St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

Come out for Maryland’s biggest Greek festival of the year; featuring Greek food, wine, music, dancing, crafts and lots of celebrating!

This is one event you don’t want to miss! Come check out all the beehive hairdos and cat’s-eye sunglasses. Festivities include the Miss Hon contest, the Natty Boh mustache contest, a “Mashed Potato” dance contest, and lots of local bands!

AVAM’s 17th Annual Kinetic Sculpture Raceannual kinetic sculpture race
American Visionary Art Museum
800 Key Hwy, Baltimore
Time: Sunday, Race kicks off at 11am
Cost: Free
This fun race features teams of racers maneuvering their elaborate pedal-powered creations through various city streets, mud pits and waterways. The course starts at the AVAM, and then continues on a course that winds through Canton, Fells Point, Patterson Park, and elsewhere.

Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar

Cost: Free – prices vary on items available for purchase
Baltimore’s farmers’ market and bazaar is open for the season! There will be a huge variety of items available for purchase including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and dozens of food vendors. Vegan food items will be available.

Virginia Events:

Taste of Woodbridge Feast-ival

Join in the fun at Prince William County’s premier Spring Fest and Tasting!  Exhibitors, vendors, top-notch entertainment, interactive activities, and prizes. The event will close with a family friendly movie (Space Jam!) on the Mega Tron with popcorn and drinks available!

Tinner Hills Blues Festival

The Tinner Hillls Blues Festival is the best little blues festival in the region! Featuring real authentic blues, with national & regional blues musicians, plus family-friendly events! The Rock Star Beer Garden will have craft beer & Virginia wines for sale; and Margaret’s Soul food & Suzy’s Q will be smokin’ their award-winning, mouth-watering BBQ ribs and chicken.

Love Your Body: Yoga Festival

The festival brings together yoga studios and wellness centers to present free activities, provide services, classes, and share information. The 7th annual Love Your Body Yoga Festival features activities for the whole family, including live music, complimentary massages, demonstrations, healthy food samples, plus opportunities to learn about alternative therapies.

Athletes of all abilities are welcome to take part in this obstacle course and adventure race. You can register as a team or as an individual. Following the race there is a beach party!

OC Air Show
Ocean City Boardwalk
Time: Saturday – Sunday
Cost: Free
You can view this Air Show along the entire boardwalk. There is an electrifying line up and many activities surrounding the event. Don’t miss this exciting event as it returns to Ocean City for another year.

Kayak Quest

Uncover the story of Sengekontacket Pond through this self-guided tour. You will have to solve rhyming “quest” clues, similar to a treasure hunt, to help you discover the story of the Pond’s people, places, and wildlife.
