Festival season is well underway and we don’t want you to miss a thing! The DMV has tons of great festivals, fairs and events over the summer for people of all interests—food and drink, literature, art and crafts, music, and anything else you can think of!
With all the happenings, it’s hard to keep track… so we’ve done the research for you!
Since the season boasts so many events, we had to break it up! Here are your events for July:
Date: Thursday – Sunday, all July
The Castleton Festival is a summer music festival that brings classical music, theater and opera to the scenic hills of Rappahannock County. Each year, rising singers, musicians, makeup and costume artists, technicians and stagehands work with experienced professionals for eight weeks of rehearsals and performances.
Half Street Fairgrounds
Time: Friday, 7/10
Truckeroo is a monthly festival held showcasing 20+ food trucks from the DMV area. It’s unusual that you get a chance to taste so many delicious food trucks in a place that is kid and adult friendly! Enjoy live entertainment, friendly faces, sunny days and a wide variety.
All American Beer Fest
Half Street Fairgrounds
Date: Saturday, 7/11
Celebrate America’s Birthday at the Fairgrounds with 45+ breweries pouring 80+ beers, live entertainment, party favors, and more! Gather your friends, rock your red, white and blue and get ready for a day full of Star Spangled festivities with your closest friends.
Baltimore Caribbean Carnival
Lake Clifton Park
Date: Saturday & Sunday, 7/11-12
Capture the sounds, sights, and tastes of the Caribbean at the 34th annual Baltimore Caribbean Carnival parade and festival! The event begins with a Caribbean-style parade followed by a fun-filled Caribbean festival showcasing live music and entertainment, a delicious sampling of authentic Caribbean food and much more.
Cambodian Community Day Festival

Date: Sunday, 7/12
The annual Cambodian Community Day Festival displays traditional Cambodian arts, crafts, paintings and souvenirs, and Cambodian food. The festival’s theme, “Cambodia, the Beautiful,” features live musical entertainment, classical and folk dances, and social dances.
Mount Royal Ave & Cathedral St, Charles St, Bolton Hill, and Station North Arts & Entertainment District neighborhood
Date: Friday – Sunday, 7/17-19
Artscape is America’s largest free arts festival, featuring 150+ fine artists, fashion designers and craftspeople; along with a delicious, international menu of food and beverages throughout. The event is family-friendly with hands-on projects, demonstrations, competitions, children’s entertainers and street theater.
Brew at the Zoo
The National Zoo
Date: Thursday, 7/23
Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) hosts the annual Brew at the Zoo to bring together more than 60 of the nation’s finest microbreweries for beer sampling. Guests will enjoy live music and animal demonstrations; and proceeds help support animal care, conservation science, education, and sustainability at the National Zoo.
Date: Friday, 7/24
Every fourth Friday, head to the DC Waterfront for a diverse mix of arts, crafts, jewelry, furniture, accessories, and other local handcrafted products. Enjoy an evening of flea markets, food, live music and fun!
Montgomery County Farm Tour
Montgomery County, MD
Date: Saturday & Sunday, 7/25-26
Montgomery County celebrates its agricultural heritage, promotes local farms, and provides residents the opportunity to indulge in seasonally fresh food! The Farm Tour provides people with an opportunity to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants and local products; along with entertainment such as hayrides, pony rides, music, demonstrations, etc.
Loudoun County Fair
Loudoun County Fairgrounds
Date: Monday – Saturday, 7/27-8/1
Cost: $30/week, $15/day (adult); $15/week, $5/day (children)
The annual Loudoun County Fair is best known for its Kiss-a-Pig fundraiser and livestock auction, but other family-fun events include a carnival, rodeo-bull riding, dairy show, goat show, horseback demonstrations, magic acts, pet shows, floral exhibits, obstacle courses, tug-of-war, live musical entertainment and a special dinner each evening.
