Costume contests, pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating- oh my! Halloween is here and there are plenty of ways to celebrate this weekend.

DC’s 18th Annual Nightmare on M St. Bar Crawl

Night of the Living Zoo

Wear your best costume while enjoying the zoo by moonlight. Experience bone-chilling and mind-boggling performance art including palm readers, fire eaters, talking bats and illusionists. Adult only event.

Trick or Treat at Tudor Place

Cost: Member child, $7; Non-member child, $10; Accompanying adult, $5

Halloween is “spooktacular” at Tudor Place! Wear your costumes (optional) and follow meandering paths to find treats (not tricks!) in every corner of the enchanting North Garden. Enjoy pumpkin-decorating and other crafts, face painting, and outdoor games amid lovely autumn color.

MARYLAND EVENTS

2nd Annual Trick or Treat at Lexington Market

Time: Saturday, 2-4pm
Cost: FREE

Put on your favorite costume and come out for a fun afternoon of trick or treating! There will be pumpkin decorating and spooky cooking demonstrations from Chef Egg. All market businesses will have treats for those participating!

17th Great Halloween Lantern Parade and Festival
Patterson Park
27 S Patterson Park Ave., Baltimore
Time: Saturday, 3:30-8:30pm
Cost: FREE

Celebrate the Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead! Build lanterns, make sugar skulls, participate in costume contests, listen to live music, enjoy hayrides and browse craft vendors. When the moon comes out, join in the lantern parade!

Annapolis Halloween Walk
Susan Campbell Park
City Dock, Annapolis
Time: Sunday, 12-2pm
Cost: $5

Adults, children and pets are welcome to put on their costumes and join in this lovely walk through Annapolis! Residents and businesses will be participating as Halloween stops and all children will be given a special bag to use. Afterwards, your wristband gets you into an exclusive after party!
