DC Dragon Boat Festival

The DC Dragon Boat Festival honors a Taiwanese legend from over 2000 years ago and aims to promote Taiwanese culture in DC with crafts, cultural demonstrations, and boat racing along the Potomac.

Celebrate Asia—from Thailand to Tibet to the Middle East—at the National Asian Heritage Festival. Learn a new cultural dance, drum technique or singing style while enjoying the food and music of the world’s largest continent.

Washington Jewish Film Festival
Various Cinematic Venues across the DC area
Time: begins Wednesday and runs through May 28
Cost: From $13; special pricing on passes available online

The Washington Jewish Film Festival is a cinematic experience that probes social issues within the Jewish diaspora. Several venues across DC, Bethesda, and Silver Spring will showcase films that explore the diversity of Jewish history and culture; check the website for show times, tickets, and film synopses.

Babel: A Full Dome Projection by Kelley Bell

Come take a look at the night sky from some of the world’s most beautiful sights including, the U.S Capitol building, the oculus at Rome’s Pantheon, and the Tilla Kari Madrasa in Uzbekistan. This projection project was created by artist Kelley Bell to entice you with the stunning architecture of these landmarks and their view of the stars.
